FORBIDDEN PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

We at RoundBuy© want to make sure the online service is as good as it can be, and as comfortable

to use as possible. Therefore we reserve the right to estimate suitability of content and

advertisements, in each case individually.

This document, provide more detailed information on advertisements, and particular products and

services, which are forbidden in the online service:

GENERAL PRINCIPLES

• Trade products National legislation permit: Trade (sell, purchase and rent) only what

your National Legislation allows.

• Shun Compromised products: Stay away from products you suspect or believe could be

stolen or otherwise compromised.

• Ascertain ownership of the product: Ascertain the product of trade is owned by the one

who is offering it, for sale or for rent etc. As a proofs of ownership, such as receipts or

purchase and even verifying ID can be helpful.

• Dangerous products: Trading any product, posing a potential danger to anyone, human,

nature or animals are forbidden.

• Unbelievable products: If the offer is too good, it probably is too good. In price

negotiations, the prices should reflect relative or appropriate value of the product.

• Dangerous substances: Chemicals and other dangerous substances are forbidden altogether,

exception substances used in pottery making or ceramics, can be traded between ceramicist.

• Trade profiting only one party: The deal and trade or exchange of product ought to be

mutually acceptable.

• Private individuals: the Green and Gold Membership advertisements are only for private

individuals who want to offer by selling, buying, renting or similar way an old product, or

new product they made, purchased or got. Exception, a private individual can make a “Club

Add” in order to seek new members to join music, chess or reading club or similar.

• Companies: the Violet Membership advertisement is only available for this purpose for

companies, to inform people the location of their shop and what they offer with short

description, or days offer e.g. soup. For example a cafe, a restaurant, a haircut salon, or

crafts people can make an add.

• Animal trade: any trade with animals has to comply fully with the national legislation. In

Finland (Eläinten hyvinvointilaki 2024). Also see appropriate EU-legislation and other

national laws.SOME EXAMPLES OF FORBIDDEN PRODUCTS:

• Intoxicants: as alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, drugs or equipment used for their

manufacture. It is illegal for private person to sell alcohol, also companies cannot sell

alcohol in the online service. Exception, you can cell tobacco pipes.

• Weapons (permit free): as air rifles, paintball guns, pellet guns, other handguns, throwing,

knives, switchblades, ammunition of any kind, any weapons related services, or any other

weaponry which pose any danger or can be particularly dangerous. Exception are archery

and fencing equipment (even swords wooden or metal) from established clubs.

• Weapons (Subject to Permission): these are forbidden.

• Deactivated weapons: both sale and purchase is forbidden after 2016 (EU Weapons

Directive).

• Chemicals: chemicals, which can pose health danger such as lead, mercury, or anything

containing asbestos or other forbidden substances. Exception to this are the chemical

components used in making of ceramics by potters, which can be sold according to national

legislation. In addition, refrigerant are forbidden. (In Finland please check Tukes)

• Repellents: all repellents for pest control are forbidden, such as termite, or mosquito etc.

• Pesticides: all pesticides are forbidden.

• Medical products: items sold by medical professionals are forbidden, as their malfunction

could pose a health hasard.

• Fake or imitation products: as designer products: clothing, shoes, bags, jewellery, wrist

watches etc. Also computers, phones, airpods, playstation or PC games or similar, music or

films etc. only authentic products can be put on display and traded.

• Adult entertainment: all pornographic material, magazines, films and images or pictures

are forbidden. Also sex toys or other sexual content.

• Personal memberships, personal information: personal membership, invitations to web

pages (e.g. Spotify) or personal details, such as names, telephone numbers, email addresses

or similar are forbidden to be sold, traded or given at the online service. Also personal

accounts to services.

• Pirate games and game systems: pirates games and consoles are forbidden, as are other

devices as jailbreak devices and mod circuits.

• Modified electrical systems: do not offer any products that has been altered from the

original, by unauthorised servicing.

• Food products: do not offer food products on sale, with the exception national legislation

might allow for private individuals. Companies cannot offer food products either. Exception,

companies such as cafe, can advertise services such as coffee with bun for certain price form

the premises.• Seeds for cultivation: any seeds, for plants, or for potatoes, onions or similar are forbidden,

except when they are certified and inspected by national entities.

• Ivory: any products which has part or which is fully ivory is forbidden on the online service

e.g. jewellery, old piano keys etc.

• Safety seats: all sale of safety seats for use in traffic and cars or similar, are forbidden if the

safety seats expiry date has closed or is near to closing, or it has been in a crash. Age should

always be inspected by the buyer and informed to the buyer (even in the advertisement).

• Devices with harmful light to eyes: laser pointers with high luminosity value are forbidden

(e.g. more than 1 mw).

• Unlocking devices: products that can be used to unlock mobile phones with locked sim are

forbidden.

• Precaution on used cloths: on all used clothing should be washed or dry cleaned if

possible, and it should be informed to the acquirer even if the product cannot be washed.

• Game animal produce: it is forbidden to sell meat and other produce from game animals,

except in situation national legislation allows it.

• Mating advertisement for animals: these are forbidden if national legislation so demands,

otherwise there are no restrictions except what the law demands.

• Animal advertisements: please familiarise yourself to the national legislation and what

comes to the animal selling by private individuals.

• Certain animal products: as anti-barking, ultrasound, electric collars are forbidden etc.

• Registered and unregistered animals dogs/cats: can be offered on sale if this is informed

to the acquirer in prior, if the national legislation doesn’t forbid it.

• Explosives and fireworks: all explosives and fireworks are forbidden products.

• Certain safety equipment: as electric stunning guns, or safety spray cannot be offered, and

are forbidden. If in doubt find out from your national legislation if reselling is allowed.

• Prescription drugs or products: also forbidden are possible medication or prescribed drugs

or similar, or other prescription products, as creams intended for use, which have been

wholly or partly purchased with governmental support money or allowances.

• Personal gift cards or tickets: these could be gift cards or similar. The resale of personal

tickets are also forbidden if the event organiser has forbidden it.

• Products used by police: any product mimicking any kind of police equipment, or similar

to products used by police force to control traffic e.g. radar detector, or special equipment is

forbidden.

• Products in Possession: note all items you offer, you must have in your possession, and

should be on your name. If it is not on your name you need to have owners permission for

the sale, which should be confirmed by the acquirer.• Utilizing other brands: it is forbidden to utilise e.g. sell products manufactured from

renown brands, and seeking unauthorised profit without the brand owners permission e.g.

using famous brand cloth to make products, which are then sold for commercial purposes.

SOME EXAMPLES OF FORBIDDEN SERVICES:

• Money services: lending money, or selling any kind of currencies even electrical as

cryptocurrencies or bitcoins, or any other financial service is forbidden. Also offering any

shares and securities are forbidden. These cannot be offered on sale or similarly, but cannot

be used as device of payment.

• Banking services: it is forbidden to offer banking services, insurances or investment

through the online service.

• Pimping and prostitution or escort services: these services are strictly forbidden in the

platform.

• Betting tipping: these are forbidden in all its forms.

• Dating: presently dating advertisements and invitations are forbidden.

• Only one add per product: only one add is authorised to be made per product. In the cases

you have many similar products, you can make more adds, but each must be photographed

separately and the correct picture shown. An advertising ban can be set on user who fails to

comply to the rules.

• Description of the add: has to be written in your own words in neat writing, and mostly

with small letters and not capitals.

As a general rule products or services, which are potentially harmful, should be checked from

national legislation and from this online service if they are accepted or forbidden. Products which

are legal to sell, but could pose a danger to anyone or anything, the purchaser should be advised of

the dangers (preferably in the description of the product or on the chat service).
